Sports, sports and more sports. This is indeed where Millfield School shines, you only have to look at their alumni – Helen Glover, Chris Robshaw, Peter Wilson – to see what kind of talent is fostered.
Their size, they say, is their strength with approximately 1,200 students and a vast campus that sprawls across sorts halls, an Olympic sized pool, equestrian centre and tennis courts to name but a few of the outstanding facilities. Their choice of sporting, co-curricular and curricular activity is vast while, quite amazingly, the teaching groups stay small. Students in national sports teams are commonplace and Millfield sees students excel in cricket, football and squash amongst others. Academically the school is good and improving with 53% A*-B in last year’s A Levels.
