Bruern Abbey

Bruern Abbey

Bruern Abbey’s main purpose is the preparation of boys with specific learning difficulties for Common Entrance to highly regarded British public schools- a principle that makes it totally unique and unlike any other preparatory school in the UK. Headmaster John Floyd leads a tailored learning structure which includes a use of a personal laptop over pen and paper, a focus on literacy and numeracy and small classes with a maximum of ten pupils to ensure constant support. As well as progressing academically boys can make full use of the large grounds in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside with a wide range of sports and activities from clay pigeon shooting, gardening and golfing to more traditional core sports such as rugby and cricket.
What’s more, the boys have the use of a large manor house complex in Loire Valley France, so exciting and educational trips are made there annually.
